Snow bikes or skibobs have been manufactured since 1949. They are ridden sitting down with small foot skis attached to the riders boots. They have four points of contact with the snow and a lower center of gravity. Adaptive skibiking is in place at many ski resorts including the National Sports Center for the Disabled in Winter Park, Colorado.
Skibobs are made with specific end useage in mind. Some skibobs are built better than others. Rental fleet skibobs do not have the durability of personal recreational skibobs.
